Becky Billingsley

Becky Billingsley (becky@thefoodsyndicate.com), CEO of The Food Syndicate, LLC, is co-creator of BadFoodGoodFood.com. She also provides daily news about Myrtle Beach, S.C., area restaurants at MyrtleBeachRestaurantNews.com, and maintains a food writer database at TheFoodSyndicate.com.

Before launching her own business, Becky was the founding editor (and sole writer!) at Coastal Carolina Dining magazine and wrote articles for several other regional, national and international publications, for which she earned several writing awards. Prior to that, she was the food and restaurant reporter at The Sun News, Myrtle Beach’s only daily newspaper.

Community involvement is important to Becky, and for four years she was president of her local library’s Friends group. Currently she is secretary of the Myrtle Beach Chapter of the American Culinary Federation and an active member of her son’s high school band boosters group. On a national scale she is a member of the Online News Association and the International Association of Culinary Professionals.

Becky lives in beautiful and exciting Myrtle Beach where she and her husband, two teenage sons and mini dachshund spend time boating on the Intracoastal Waterway, hanging out on the beach, one-upping each other at miniature golf courses and battling fire ants.
