Frozen Margaritas

Serves 6 in wide rimed champagne glasses

 

6 oz. frozen limeade concentrate
3 oz. Triple Sec
6 oz. tequila, white
4-5 cups crushed ice
1 fresh lime (Key lime, if possible)
salt, margarita or kosher

In a blender, combine limeade concentrate, Triple Sec, tequila and ice and blend until smooth. 

Rub rims of 6 champagne glasses with lime halves and dip in salt to coat.  Scoop mixture into glasses and serve immediately.
Store any leftovers in the freezer.

The Margarita is the most common of tequila-based cocktails, made with Triple Sec or other orange-flavored liqueurs, and lime or lemon juice,
often served with salt on the glass rim. Silver or blanco tequilas are preferred for margaritas, though some will use reposados or 'gold' tequilas.
